Sven, im glad you mentioned Tierney, though he gave us fuck all. Not helped by Cornet dropping to the floor, for no reason. Hope our players throw some fucks into players that do that!! He blew up for any contact on theirs, and just waived play on for us.

Re: Saturday football
Kehrer got ahead of Sterling and was in the area with the ball and having his shirt pulled back in the England v Germany game and noone seemed remotely interested.
Thats a penalty and as its not a genuine attempt to tackle also a red card.

Am in favour of referees having a higher threshold of what is a foul and players just flopping over being told to get up.
But it has to be consistent.
Players like Kane & Salah being reffed as we were by Tierney on Saturday where anything short of physical assault was waved away.

Billy - Yea ref the shirt pulling, I've noticed a trend that if the pull is just for a very short second or two they're letting it go and only brandishing yellow cards for a prolonged pull.

Re: Saturday football
Not a Gary Neville fan but his assessment here about success is now achieved in the Premiership and modern game makes some sense.

He is talking about Spuds and Conte but it equally applies to us currently and Moyes. Great to win but 39% possession will not win games longer term and has not been very successful over the last 30.

Hoping that we now start to see that change albeit slowly.

Neville’s key comment about Conte and Spurs:

“ He said on the Gary Neville podcast: “We’ve seen it coming over the years now that the dominant team, the one who enjoys the ball and wants the ball, is winning a lot more of these games. We’ve seen the less proactive teams and more pragmatic teams that want to play on the counter-attack not having the success that they once could have”

Haaland takes 9 games to get the fastest 3 hat tricks.
The man in second place Michael Owen and took him 46 matches

Back from the pub after football... watched the Manc derby with 5 Reds... absolute shell shocked.... more I see of Haaland the greater he becomes... and I already think he is the best number 9 I have ever seen...

Re: Saturday football
It seems shirt pulling is now a legitimate tactic in the game. Mings clearly being held back by an opponent pulling on his shirt,VAR see nothing wrong in this.

Football is turning into a horrible fucking sport.
